We bring you exclusively the first images of the new Xiaomi mi mix fold. This is the first folding smartphone of the Chinese brand Xiaomi and it is a smartphone concept that will probably end up being implemented in the future.
This Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold is a folding terminal that has an OLED screen that would reach 8.01 inches. Of course, the resolution that this striking Xiaomi brand smartphone reaches is 2K while the format is 4: 3 with the screen unfolded. The secondary screen is a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2520 x 840 pixels. Both displays feature 900 nits and HDR10 + with a 60Hz refresh rate on the flexible OLED panel and 90 hertz on the secondary display.
Probably the most striking thing about this terminal is the possibility of unfolding this smartphone that would reach a width of almost 14 cm when unfolded, while if we fold it it does not reach 7 cm. Logically the weight in a terminal of these characteristics is high and reaches 317 grams. Without a doubt, the flexible OLED panel that is compatible with dolby vision is the most striking thing about this smartphone.
As for the processor, Xiaomi once again has the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, which is the 888 with 5G technology. On this occasion, this Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold reaches 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM with two different storages, one of 256GB or another of 256GB UFS 3.1.
In the cameras section, this folding smartphone reaches 108 megapixels with its main sensor accompanied by two other cameras, an 8 megapixel telemacro and a wide angle of another 13 megapixels of 123 degrees. In the front camera, Xiaomi bets on a good sensor that reaches 20 megapixels. Another of the most striking aspects of this Mi MIX Fold is that it has liquid lens technology. The radius of curvature that the lens has can be modified thanks to a motor that Xiaomi has developed, in this way the phone can be used to make a 3x optical and in this way focus on objects at a distance that reaches up to 3 cm. By this we mean that the phone works as a telephoto and also as a macro.
In the battery section, the Mi MIX Fold smartphone has a 5020 milliamp battery that supports a fast charge of up to 67 watts like Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra does. Another of the rarities of this terminal is that as it is foldable, the Chinese brand has divided the battery in two and therefore one of them has 2460 milliamps while the other has 2560 milliamps.
To avoid heating problems, the Chinese brand Xiaomi opted for butterfly liquid cooling, which in short, what it does is take advantage of the hinge area to increase dissipation to 22.58 square mm.
Regarding connectivity, this Mi MIX Fold has the latest technologies in terms of Wi-Fi 6, NFC, bluetooth 5.0 and 5G speed.
The device is governed by a MIUI 12 operating system based on Android 10.
