Large 5″ screen
We'll start by talking about the screen, which comes in at 5 inches. In this screen size range, this is probably the best console available. Even for a console that costs around €100, the screen quality is quite good, offering a Full HD IPS resolution of 854x480 pixels.
Without a doubt, the construction materials of the Powkiddy RGB10 Max screen are much better than those of the Odroid Go Super.
A well-known chip that will give us good results.
As for the processor that powers this retro console, we have a fairly well-known chip that is used in good quality handheld consoles such as the Anbernic RG351M or RG351V, we are talking about a quad-core RK3226 Cortex-A35 chip that reaches a speed of up to 1.5 GHz.
The processor is accompanied by 1 GB of DDR3L RAM and a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU which provide enough power to emulate many games from the most demanding platforms such as PS1, Nintendo 64 or PSP.
Emuelec interface based on Linux
This new Powkiddy RGB10 Max retro console features a Linux-based operating system with an Emuelec plug-and-play interface. This means that once the console is turned on, you'll immediately access a menu with various emulator platforms.
This console is capable of emulating different platforms such as PSP, N64, NDS, NES, SMD, SFC, CPS, MD, GBA, GBC, GB, FBA, PS, PSX, FC, GGMS, NEOGEO or BIN.
Multiplayer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection
One of the things that catches our attention about this retro console is that it has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, which allows us to connect an external controller or enjoy a multiplayer mode to play with the same console between two players.
Good quality buttons and finishes
Regarding the buttons on this Powkiddy RGB10 Max, we find that there are joysticks on each side of the screen that also function as L3 and R3 buttons. On the upper left, there's a convenient D-pad, and on the opposite side, there are four buttons: X, Y, A, and B. In the lower corners of each side are two small buttons: SELECT and START. At the top, on either side, are the L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons.
Finally, we have different buttons and connections on the top such as the OTG/DC and USB1/OTG connections, SD card slot, 3.5 jack for inserting headphones, volume up and down buttons or the switch key and Wi-Fi key buttons.
Sufficient 4,200 mAh battery
You can rest assured about the battery life, as this console has a 4200 mAh battery. You'll have enough battery power to avoid running out of power mid-game.
