Intel processor

Both the ZimaBoard 832 and the ZimaBoard 2 1664 have a processor Intel N150, while the 832 version is for lighter tasks such as small NAS, home services, gateways, the 1664 version is for more demanding uses such as visualizations, light AI, personal servers, home cloud... It has 4 cores that work until 3.4 GHz. 

It's not as powerful as a desktop computer, but it's much more powerful than a Raspberry Pi or similar boards.

Memory and storage

You can choose between two versions of ZimaBoard, the first one being 8 GB LPDDR5X memory with 32GB storage and the second option is 16GB LPDDR5X memory with 64GB storage.

The RAM is fast in any version, reaching 4800MHz, which helps a lot in multitasking.

The 8GB/32GB version is recommended for light tasks, such as Plex, Home Assistant, basic tasks, and its storage for basic applications, light data, not for large volumes or very intensive loads.

However, with the 16GB/64GB you can run more applications at the same time without noticing that the system runs slower, from home servers, surveillance... in this version there is more space for additional applications, system files, a little more cache.

It is worth noting that the LPDDR5X memories they carry cannot be extended as they are soldered to the board.

If we were to run out of sufficient storage thanks to its 2 SATA ports You can connect 2.5″ or 3.5″ hard drives or SSDs. This is where you will put your main storage if you use it as a NAS or multimedia server, it must be indicated that it has PCIe slot to add more storage, such as super-fast NVMe drives, or even RAID controllers.

The graphics are integrated into the processor (Intel UHD Graphics). It's not for gaming, but it's sufficient for watching videos in high-quality. 4K at 60 Hz, display the operating system's graphical interface, use multimedia services such as Plex or Jellyfin, decode large videos without crashing (H.264, HEVC, VP9, AV1)
